For the past year or so, I’ve been using a very helpful skin routine. I’ve even been switching up products like we’ve been taught, and it’s been working surprisingly well. It’s worked so well that I’ve felt comfortable being outside without makeup. However, with all this success I still have the occasion breakout and they seem to be more painful now than ever. As of last week my entire chin filled with the most excruciatingly painful clusters of pimples on either side of my face. They were of varying sizes and colors, and nothing I did made much of a difference.
I attacked my chin with my Clarisonic Mia and the only thing that happened was blood that turned into scabs that looked terrible under my makeup. After a few days of being in pain, scrubbing, then trying to scratch away those little black scabs that filled my chin… to no avail, I suddenly remembered that I had a spot treatment for acne by DDF. I had been given the DDF Glycolic 10% Exfoliating Oil Control Gel by one of the reps during my short stint at Ulta Beauty. He had reminded me that it was a spot treatment and not for continuous use, and with by skin behaving so fabulously, I had completely forgotten that it was there.
After wrestling with my chin for days, I decided to give this treatment a try and boy was I surprised. Overnight the acne began to dry up, and not in that scabbing over way that was happening before. The pain was lessening and I instantly noticed their smaller sizes. I used this treatment twice a day for two days and I was absolutely impressed by its speed at ridding my chin of the acne, and with very little scaring. There is one thing to note about the relative expediency of the DDF treatment, it works much faster when paired with the Clarisonic. In fact, any type of potions or poisons put on the skin works with much more efficiency when using the Clarisonic. Therefore, overnight, my skin is almost rid of the acne that it was plagued with and now my skin is becoming smooth and clear yet again.
