Rihanna threw a ball to raise awareness and funds for her foundation, The Clara Lionel Foundation, which she began in 2012. The charity is mission is to help improve health, education, as well as, art and culture in under privileged areas. She wore one of her favorite designers, Zac Posen, who has dressed her for events such as the 2008 Grammies. She arrived in a strapless, sleek, red dress and then performed in a strapless black gown.
Remember all the controversy over the art work for Nicki Minaj’s new song, Only? The image of Nicki as a dark, super heroine, Drake in what looks like a catholic priest pope’s garb, and Wayne in the back simply wearing a suit and tie was quickly label antisymmetic. And the video of the three singers, including Chris Brown, didn’t help matters either. Social media went wild condemning Minaj for Nazi imagery in the video.
But Young Money is known for their teaser videos that aren’t necessarily the official videos for their singles. Think about the teaser video for Practice by Drake. It was never marketed as the official video but a teaser for Take Care and the subsequent tour.
Now there are new images emerging from the official video, and they are very different from those that were released before. These steamy images, coupled with Minaj’s apology might smooth things over. What do you think?
